Torex Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (Managing Director, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, Japan: Koji Shimiya Daiichi Tokyo Stock Exchange: 6616, hereinafter referred to as "Torex") has developed a driver for 18V operation for in-vehicle (AEC-Q100 compliant) Tr built-in, output current 500mA, synchronous rectification step-down DC/DC converter XD9263/XD9264 series.

In recent years, due to the improvement of ADAS (Advanced Driver Support System) and autonomous driving, the number of in-vehicle cameras corresponding to sensing and viewing applications is increasing in a car. The need to reduce current consumption in the camera module and save space also comes with it. The XD9263/XD9264 series developed this time are 18V operation, 500mA output current, synchronous rectification step-down DC/DC converters with built-in driver Tr, which can meet the above market requirements and are the most suitable power supply ICs for automotive camera modules.

The input voltage range of this product is 3.0V ~ 18.0V, which can correspond to the voltage provided by navigation and other ECUs. The output voltage range is 1.0V ~ 15.0V (accuracy ±1.5%), and the operating frequency is 2.2MHz.
The control method can be selected from PWM control (XD9263) and PWM/PFM automatic switching control (XD9264), achieving high efficiency and low ripple voltage over the entire load range from light to heavy loads.
The soft-start function has been internally set to 1.0ms (TYP.), and can also be arbitrarily adjusted by external resistors and capacitors. Protection features include overcurrent limit, auto-reset (XD9263D/XD9264D), integral latch-up (XD9263C/XD9264C), and thermal shutdown. The status of the output voltage can also be monitored through the Power Good function, and the output voltage sequence can be controlled in combination with the soft-start function. The lead package SOT-25 and the small package USP-6C (1.8 x 2.0 x h0.6 mm) can be selected according to the application. This product complies with the automotive IC quality standard AEC-Q100 Grade 2 (105°C), and PPAP files are available upon customer request, so you can use this product for automotive applications with confidence.
